Mann joins the abode he rightfully belongs to

Obviously when the storm is over and the dust settled,
we can recognize the faces. Ex Police DIG Simranjit
Singh Mann is a face from which mask has slowly been
removed. We believed he did a great sacrifice for the
Sikh nation when he resigned from the high profile
police post of DIG protesting against the invasion of
Golden Temple by Indian Army. He was put behind the
bars. Then come the Parliament elections in 1989 and
he won with the second highest ever margin in India.

But by that time he had been purchased. Lo and behold!
he did not join the parliament. Because he insisted
that he wants to carry a 3 feet long sword inside the
parliament hall. This was done to give a wrong
impression to the world that Sikhs believe in sword
culture and can’t participate in a dialogue. His
parliament seat was then vacated.

It was a golden opportunity for the Sikh nation then.
All parliament seats (except 1 or 2) were bagged by
non-Congress non-Akali Dal people. But the Govt used
Mann to disintegrate this new parliament group which
scattered soon. People remember he (Mann) would
himself push leaders away from his party. The Sikhs
were demoralised by a great extent with his dubious
approach.

But he continued to long for MP’s seat and seek his
price. The agencies then in 1999 maneuvered to get him
win. He was now an MP and right in these days a news
was published in Punjab Kesri, “Mann now in the
mainstream” which meant that Mann has also been
managed and that he was no longer a separatist. Mann
did not contest the news.

Then in the 2004 elections, what ever his face
remained concealed was exposed. He made an alliance
with Balwant Singh Ramoowalia a known enemy of Sikh
separate identity and Sikh nation. (Ramoowalia had
played a dubious role during Operation Blue Star and
was there upon continuously rewarded by Govt of India
either as a nomination to Rajya Sabha or membership to
Minority Commission like they had rewarded Gopal Singh
Dardi)

On March 20, 2000 at village Chittisinghpora in Anant
Nag district of J & K 35 innocent Sikhs were massacred
and Bill Clington the US president had hinted who
killed the Sikhs. (Now 5 army officers are being tried
for a crime that occurred immediately i.e on March 21,
2000) We had then met Mr. Mann and had requested him
to launch an agitation for the prosecution of those
guilty of Chittisinghpora massacre. We gave him a
written memorandum. But Mann kept his silence. 2
months later when I met him and protested at his
inaction he said, “Goraya you have gone mad.”

Every now and then he would issue statement to bring
bad name to Sikhs who aspire for their self rule. It
must be clearly understood his statements wherein he
sought cleavage among Punjabi society were being
issued at the behest of Indian agencies. This was
being done to weaken the Sikh movement.

He has recently criticised the Punjabi or Sikh hero
Bhagat Singh to support Arya Samajis. Only a month ago
an Arya Samaji BJP leader had announced on TV that
Bhagat Singh was a Hindu whereas the evidence is
(refer to writings of Bhai Randhir Singh and S. Kapoor
Singh ICS) The ertwhile communist Bhatat Singh had
become a devout Sikh at the time of his death. He had
grown his hair also.

This tout man Mann has termed the Sikh hero a
terrorist and hurt the feelings of Sikhs and Punjabis.
His (Mann’s) aim is to bring bad name to Khalastanis.
So that Punjabi start suspecting them and their root
support is cut. Punjab Govt took a wise decision to
put in him in jail the place he rightly belongs to.
God or Guru has his own way of punishing the frauds
who are ‘mann hor mukh hor’ difference in their faces
and heart. Fortunately this man remains confined to
jails. God is really great.

His (Mann’s) next step would be to term the Beant
Singh, Satwant Singh and Kehar Singh the assassins of
Indira Gandhi as terrorist.

The following is a news story about the arrest of
Super Tout.

Simranjit arrested
Son says Bapu, Nehru backed martyr’s hanging
Varinder Singh
Tribune News Service

Patiala, December 6
While Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) chief Simranjit
Singh Mann was arrested by the Patiala police for
hurting the sentiments of the people by reportedly
stating that Bhagat Singh was “not” a martyr or a
national hero, his son Iman Singh Mann kicked up a
storm by saying that Pt Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma
Gandhi had “supported” the hanging of Bhagat Singh.

Meanwhile, Mann was produced before a local court
which remanded him in judicial custody till December
20.

Iman Singh was speaking on behalf of his father, who
was brought to the Kotwali police station here after
being arrested in the morning from his native Talanian
village near Sirhind.

Iman said the Sikhs could not recognise a person
(Bhagat Singh) who had murdered two “innocent”
persons--Saunders and head constable Channan Singh.

“We cannot side with anyone involved in the killing of
innocent people. Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi,
as per historians, had supported the hanging of Bhagat
Singh and had described him a ‘terrorist’. See the
irony. While Nehru and Gandhi are accorded full
respect, my father has been arrested for what he said
about Bhagat Singh. In fact, my father had posed a
question while interacting with mediapersons in
Patiala as to whether anyone who had murdered innocent
people could be described as a martyr or hero. Won’t
we be doing injustice to mankind by justifying the
killing of innocents? My father has been booked merely
on the basis of a news report appearing in a
vernacular. By these standards, Gujarat Chief Minister
Narinder Modi should have been booked by the Punjab
police for his reported statement, wherein he has
tried to justify the killing of Muslims. Is this not a
case of double standards?” questioned Iman Singh while
talking to The Tribune.

DSP Manjit Singh Brar and SHO D.S. Dhaliwal, however,
did not allow mediapersons to talk to Simranjit Singh
Maan who, was arrested at 9.30 am from Taliana under
Section 153-A of the IPC and brought to the Kotwali.

Iman Singh said, “Hindu fundamentalists and their
organisations like the BJP, Congress, RSS and Shiv
Sena have been behind the ordeal inflicted upon my
father, who has been implicated in a false case. Our
party will organise state-wide ‘fateh’ marches on
December 14 to oppose the demand of the removal of the
portrait of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Sant
Bhindranwale was the only Sikh leader to hve awakened
the Sikhs.”

Emergency party meeting today
Sushil Goyal
Tribune News Service

Sangrur, December 6
In the wake of the arrest of party president Simranjit
Singh Mann by the Patiala police today, the Shiromani
Akali Dal (Amritsar) has convened an emergency meeting
of the political affairs committee (PAC) of the party
tomorrow at Fatehgarh Sahib to chalk out the next
course of action and issue party’s programme for the
workers, activists, supporters and well-wishers.

Talking to The Tribune over the phone today, general
secretary of the SAD (A) Jeet Singh Alloarkh termed
the arrest of Mann as “unfortunate”. He alleged that
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had got SAD
(A) president Mann arrested at the instance of the
BJP.

Alloarkh said Mann had been arrested under Section
153-A of the IPC, as BJP minister Tikshan Sud on
December 3 had demanded registration of a case against
Mann under sedition charges. He also said that Mann
had been arrested to make RSS’s call for Punjab bandh
on December 14 a success. He said the RSS had given
the call for Punjab bandh against the installation of
portrait of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in the
Central Sikh Museum.
